What you actually pay for

Olivares AI is open-core. The open AGPL-3.0 build is the complete governance platform, free and open source. There is no crippled "community edition".

AGPL-3.0 is strong copyleft: if you run a modified version as a network service, you have to offer your changes back. When your policy blocks AGPL, or you need more seats, a commercial license grants an exemption.

You pay for the legal exemption, a higher seat cap and dedicated support. Enterprise additionally includes optional additive add-ons for scale and regulated environments. That code is added to the open foundation; a capability already in the open build never moves behind a paid gate.

Yes. The Community edition is the complete product, free for up to 3 users under AGPL-3.0. Every module, every feature.

What is the difference between editions?

Do I have to pay to evaluate it?

No. Run the Community edition in production at no cost. Upgrade only if you need more seats or an AGPL exemption.

What happens when commercial pricing is set?

Each tier will show a concrete price with self-serve checkout. You will be able to buy online — no sales call for Pro and Business.

Can I downgrade from a commercial license to Community?

Yes. Downgrading returns you to AGPL-3.0 terms and the 3-seat cap. Your data stays intact.
